Tiny invisible cracks may form on PET bottles during filling and conveying. These cracks do not cause massive air leakage and show no leakage signs under static inspection, yet they lead to slow internal pressure loss. Such defects cannot be spotted by manual sampling or short-term storage. Once the products reach distribution channels, whole cartons may get contaminated, resulting in financial losses and customer complaints of varying severity.
Xispek has developed this squeeze-type leak detector specially for PET bottles. Two belts apply soft inward squeezing to filled bottles. High-precision sensors capture the reaction force curve of each container to judge air tightness. Intact bottles generate strong reaction force under squeezing, while leaking bottles deliver weak reaction force due to internal pressure drop. Based on physical principles, the inspection delivers accurate and reliable results, and it supports all types of bottle formats.
